Brentwood High School Senior Named to Missouri Scholars 100

Brentwood High School senior Rohan Dixit has been named to the 2026 Missouri Scholars 100, a prestigious statewide program that honors Missouri’s top academic students. Organized by the Missouri Association of Secondary School Principals (MoASSP), the program recognizes 100 outstanding high school seniors for their academic excellence, leadership and commitment to learning.

Dixit is an accomplished student leader at Brentwood High School, serving as co-president of both the Mental Health Awareness Club and Chess Club, co-captain of the Scholar Bowl team, and founder and lead mentor of the Science Fair Club. He is also an active member of the National Honor Society and Student Council, and competes on the school’s tennis team.

Beyond the classroom, Dixit has pursued extensive research experiences, including developing a wearable technology device to monitor neck posture and overall health in collaboration with researchers at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. He has also conducted research for regional science fair competitions and works alongside undergraduate students at Washington University in St. Louis to help teach architecture concepts to middle and high school students.

He plans to major in biomedical engineering, with an additional interest in applied mathematics and aspirations to pursue a career in quantitative finance.

“Rohan’s selection for the Missouri Scholars 100 is an outstanding achievement and a reflection of both his academic excellence and his wide-ranging involvement,” said Dr. Edward Johnson, Brentwood High School principal. “From advanced research and mentorship to leadership in multiple student organizations, Rohan exemplifies what it means to be a well-rounded scholar. We are incredibly proud of his accomplishments and excited to see where his talents take him next.”

This marks the fourth consecutive year that a Brentwood High School senior has been selected for the Missouri Scholars 100.

Each year, Missouri high schools are invited to nominate their top students based on a formula that considers grade-point average and ACT or SAT scores. To qualify, students must meet the following criteria:

  • Maintain a minimum 3.75 GPA
  • Score at least 29 on the ACT or 1,280 on the SAT
  • Rank in the top 10% of their graduating class
  • Complete advanced coursework in mathematics, science, English and a world language
  • Demonstrate exemplary citizenship, attendance and extracurricular involvement

“The Missouri Scholars 100 Program is one of the nation’s premier academic recognition programs and stands as a true celebration of learning,” said Chris Hoehne, MoASSP executive director. “Students selected for this distinction have challenged themselves with rigorous coursework while maintaining the highest levels of academic excellence and giving back to their communities. The Missouri Association of Secondary School Principals and its Board of Directors proudly recognizes and celebrates the remarkable achievements of these students and the schools that support their success."

The 2026 Missouri Scholars 100 recipients will be recognized during an awards luncheon on May 3 in Columbia, Missouri.
